One Building One Brew: PSFS Building

Join us for an exclusive tour of Howe and Lescaze’s PSFS Building, now a Loews Hotel. Experience this National Historic Landmark with architectural historian, Grace Ong Yan, Ph.D. author of “The PSFS Building: Modern Architecture by a Corporate Client,” (in Companions to the History of Architecture, Wiley-Blackwell) who will discuss its fascinating history. The tour and discussion will take us from the monumental banking hall to the top floor boardroom. Built as an exuberant and progressive vision for America’s oldest saving fund, the PSFS Building demonstrated that American modern architecture was just as groundbreaking as its European counterparts.

After the tour, we will gather for brews at the hotel's Bank & Bourbon restaurant.
